The Passover is a central part of the Exodus from Egypt, which is probably the most significant saving event of the Old Testament.
The Exodus and the Passover are alluded to multiple times in the New Testament because they are seen as types or patterns that point beyond themselves to their fulfillment.
For example, the Gospel of John and the book of Revelation contain several references to the Passover and its fulfillment in Jesus and his saving work.
In our time together, we will look at a brief overview of the two major emphases of the Passover and how they are both fulfilled through the sacrifice of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).
