Global Learning Initiatives

Theological students from Madagascar learning hebrew by new tecnology

The Global Learning Initiative is a research division established by Fjellhaug International University College Denmark (FIUC-DK).

Our first goal is to develop a full online environment for facilitation and certification of learners based on performance-standards and plotted skills. Data from students in Copenhagen, Malaysia, the US and Madagascar help us build a learning journey environment.

Our second goal is to develop open ressources, engage in collaboration, and seek funding for new projects. We will do so through our Danish Advisory Board and an Online Internation Expert Forum.

Global Learning Initiatives is active in research and development projects. It continues the work of the EU funded EuroPLOT project to develop persuasive technology for corpus driven learning of Hebrew 2010-2013.

We continue to support the wider use of PLOTLearner in countries with poor infrastructure and low or no bandwidth. Through funding from Danmission we work on PLOTLearner Phase II in Madagascar [Click and login as guest]. In the Autumn of 2014 we will test a Greenbridge Computing Multipoint Server solution at the Lutheran Graduate School of Theology (SALT) in Madagascar.
